Office News - Insurance Coverage

Most insurance companies will cover a large percentage of the cost of oral appliance therapy if the therapy is performed by a properly trained and qualified dentist.

Dr. Rogers has the training and experience necessary to maximize your insurance benefits. Out of pocket expenses may vary depending upon your policy deductible and co-payment percentage.

Dr. Rogers is now in-network with Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield and UPMC Health Plan.

about the practice

Pittsburgh Dental Sleep Medicine

Pittsburgh Dental Sleep Medicine is unlike any other dental practice in the area since it focuses on sleep disordered breathing and nothing else.  Dr. Rogers limits his practice to “dental sleep medicine” which treats a medical problem that has serious medical side effects if left untreated or is improperly managed.

Snoring & Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Snoring and obstructive sleep apnea have been linked to increased risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, automobile accidents and injury in the workplace.  And this is in addition to the quality of life issues such as bed-partner annoyance and excessive daytime sleepiness.

our patients are talking...

"Dr. Rogers,

I want to let you know my quality of life has been greatly enhanced because of your oral appliance therapy.

Before any treatment for sleep apnea I was constantly exhausted, I snored like a chain saw. I would nap all day and my wife called me lazy because I was too tired to make it through a normal day.

Before your treatment I was on a CPAP machine. I found it uncomfortable and irritating to my throat and sinuses. I called my doctor to schedule surgery on my throat. He suggested I try your oral appliance before proceding with the surgery.

The oral appliance was comfortable and easy to use. It was just as effective as CPAP and reduced my snoring. I still snore at times but I wake up as refreshed as I did with the CPAP. It also helped my self esteem in bed.
