Rogers III, DMD, DABDSM, is credentialled by the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine with more than 30 years of professional experience. Dr. Rogers has served the tri-state area of Pennsylvania for 30 years and now works with the tight-knit community of Wexford at Pittsburgh Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Rogers earned his dental medicine doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in Pennsylvania. As a pioneer in the dental sleep medicine field, he helped create the medical and dental protocols that provide patients with positive treatment outcomes today.

As a dental sleep medicine practitioner in the tri-state area, Dr. Rogers receives numerous referrals from sleep centers, physicians, and other dentists on a regular basis. He is skilled and experienced in all oral appliances, including mandibular advancement devices (MAD) and tongue-retaining devices (TRD), as well as their associated technology. He works closely with certified sleep physicians to achieve the best possible outcome for his patients.

In addition, Dr. Rogers was the founding president of the Sleep Disorders Dental Society, now known as the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). He has been a member of the Board of Directors for 10 years and chaired the Education and Curriculum Committee for six years. Dr. Rogers also served as the Director of the AADSM Resource Center for 12 years. Today, Dr. Rogers is a diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and is a recipient of the AADSM Distinguished Service Award. 

Dr. Rogers was a member of the task force for the revision of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Position Paper and Practice Parameters on Oral Appliance Therapy. His works focused on the importance of oral appliances in sleep apnea patients who didn’t respond well to CPAP therapy. Dr. Rogers was also a part of the task force that developed and published the Clinical Guidelines for the Evaluation, Management and Long-Term Care of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Adults.

With his experience, Dr. Rogers has recently organized a Dental Sleep Medicine Network in the tri-state area for highly-trained dentists to provide cutting-edge sleep apnea and snoring care to their patients.
